Last evening during the Game Awards, Capcom revealed a playable demo for Devil May Cry 5. The demo is slated for a release later today, December 7th, and will be exclusively available on Xbox One.
Capcom has confirmed that the demo will be available on other platforms at a later date, but is currently a timed exclusive.
Alongside the newly revealed demo, there was also a new trailer that showcases a deeper perspective into the game’s narrative. Devil May Cry 5 sees the return of Nero as the playable character, with Dante and the newly revealed V being playable for specific sections of the game. Nero was originally disliked by fans, but over the years he has become a staple part of the franchise.
The trailer also gave us confirmation of the returning Bloody Palace mode, a single player elimination tournament where players battle it out in a difficult gauntlet to obtain various rewards. However, the game mode won’t be available at launch but will instead return as a free title update in April 2019.
Devil May Cry 5 is slated for a March 19th 2019 release date, for Xbox One, PC and PS4. The game can be pre-ordered here.
