A launch trailer for the upcoming Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been released showcasing more of the games’ highly anticipated grapple hook action and a few unseen boss fights.
The following trailer includes some spoilers for some previously unrevealed boss fights so if you’re wanting to avoid spoilers then you might want to miss this one.
The trailer features a myriad of locations and enemies from animals to disproportionate figures in castles, fields and courtyards alike. A series of watercolour transitions transport the viewer between the intense fights and platforming gameplay – it would be a delight to see similar transitions in the game itself.
Later in the trailer we get another glimpse at death within the game, as player character Wolf falls in battle against an enemy Samurai. Here we see Wolf lying on the ground, an indentation in the wood as an Ancient Japanese symbol appears above amidst a flurry of red sparks, resurrecting Wolf. After all, Shadows Die Twice.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice releases March 22 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
